Our Story...

A warm welcome to the Norfolk Broads...

River View – Where It All Began

In early 2022, we began our Norfolk Broads journey by adding River View to our collection of waterside holiday lodges. With its breathtaking location overlooking the River Yare, it was the perfect place to start. After a much-needed facelift, inside and out, River View quickly became a guest favourite, with many returning for another stay.

This charming 2-bedroom lodge features a spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower, an open-plan kitchen, diner, and lounge, as well as a beautiful decked terrace and garden. For boating enthusiasts, there’s a quay-headed mooring for your own boat, and fishing (seasonal, rod license required) is available right from the bottom of the garden.

The river views and sunsets are simply spectacular, making this a truly unforgettable spot to relax and unwind.

Nature’s Nook  – Riverside Charm from April 2023

Brand new to our collection in April 2023, Nature’s Nook offers stunning views over the River Yare—especially at sunset. This cosy 2-bedroom timber lodge is the perfect spot for a peaceful, self-catering stay by the water.

Enjoy seasonal fishing straight from the decking (rod licence required), or moor your own boat right outside. Whether you’re relaxing in the open-plan lounge or unwinding on the terrace, you’ll have a front-row seat to all the activity on the river.

With Surlingham Broad just across the water, it’s the ideal base for adventurers too—bring your own kayaks or paddleboards, or hire a canoe and explore the Broads at your own pace.

Ferry Lodge – New for 2024

Last year we were excited to introduce Ferry Lodge, a fantastic addition to our collection for 2024. Sleeping up to 7 guests, this spacious lodge features a king en-suite, a double bedroom, and a bunk room with a single over double bed, making it perfect for families or groups. There’s also a separate bathroom and a large open-plan kitchen, diner, and lounge, designed for comfort and convenience.

Ferry Lodge boasts magnificent river views, with double patio doors leading to a huge decked area—ideal for outdoor dining or simply relaxing while taking in the scenery. With moorings for your own boat, it’s a dream spot for boating enthusiasts.

Bring along your kayaks, paddleboards, RIBs, or dinghies, and take a quick trip across the river to Coldham Hall for delicious food and drinks. Alternatively, stroll to The White Heron Pub just down the road for a more local experience.

If you’re seeking the perfect riverside getaway with activities, beautiful views, and plenty of space to relax, Ferry Lodge is the place to be!

Introducing Flag House – New for 2025

We were thrilled to welcome Flag House to our riverside collection in April 2025. Commanding the perfect spot right on the banks of the River Yare, this spacious and well-loved lodge caught our eye for its generous layout and fantastic location. We gave it a thoughtful spruce-up before opening it to guests, keeping its original character while updating it to meet the standards and comforts our visitors have come to expect.

Flag House offers plenty of room for families or groups, with three bedrooms, a large open-plan living area, and a wraparound riverside terrace perfect for dining outdoors or simply soaking up the views. Its private mooring, great fishing access, and peaceful riverside setting make it a classic Broads getaway—with a few modern touches to make your stay even more enjoyable.

It’s been a wonderful addition to our collection, and we’ve already loved seeing guests enjoy its charm. Whether you’re a returning visitor or planning your first trip, Flag House offers that ideal blend of space, scenery, and relaxation.

Welcoming Yare View – A Riverside Gem in Transition

Yare View is the latest addition to our riverside family, and we’re delighted to offer guests a chance to stay in this wonderfully located lodge throughout 2025. With uninterrupted views of the River Yare and a front-row seat to the boating and wildlife activity that makes the Broads so special, it’s an idyllic spot to unwind.

We’ve given Yare View a light refresh for the season to ensure it’s comfortable and welcoming for guests looking to enjoy a great value riverside escape with rustic charm. It still has all the essentials for a relaxing self-catering stay, along with a private mooring and excellent fishing access from your doorstep.

But there’s more to come—big plans are on the horizon! At the end of the 2025 season, Yare View will be retired to make way for a brand-new, purpose-built lodge that will launch in 2026. It’s an exciting project, and we can’t wait to share the progress with you as it takes shape.

In the meantime, Yare View is a great opportunity to experience the beauty of the Broads at a lower price, in a location that’s second to none.
