Modern and spacious with fabulous reviews and lots of repeat bookings!
River Bay is nestled in a small marina just off the River Yare with private quay headed moorings for lodge guests use only. A good spot for fishing from the garden, relaxing, watching the boats pass the top of the marina to and from the river and spotting the wildlife activity.
This quiet and tranquil location is perfect to get into the quieter waters with your own boat, kayak or paddle board from our slipway. Bring your own boat and moor directly outside!
Boat and canoe* hire is possible locally and we highly recommend exploring the Norfolk Broads from this idyllic location – pre booking with a local company is advised. *Discounts for canoe hire applies to our guests.
Situated in the village of Brundall, the centre for boat building and boat hire, which has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, hairdresser, Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, Indian restaurant, Café & Bakery and local pubs serving good food.
The train station is just a stroll away with links to the city of Norwich for shopping, sightseeing and history or Great Yarmouth for an ice-cream on the beach and all the fun at the Pleasure Beach with it’s rides and amusements to keep all the family happy.
Exploring the countryside and coastline is easy by car. Quaint towns, villages and beautiful beaches are close by, as are an abundance of family attractions and beauty spots to suit everyone. Please see our information page for many other local attractions.

maxine woods2024-07-04Last weekend we stayed in River Breeze lodge to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we relaxed and got into 'holiday mode'. The lodge was extremely clean and we received a warm welcome from Tina. We enjoyed being alongside the water and seeing the ducks and the heron who were regular visitors. From the lodge, you can also see the boats heading out to the river from the marina which we enjoyed. The lodge was very well-appointed with everything you could want. I had taken tea towels, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid but didn't need to as it was all provided. We were a party of 6 adults and found that we had plenty of space to relax. The veranda area and garden were also great to use with plenty of seating. We visited the pub near the railway station on a few occasions over the weekend for both drinks and food. It was perfect to walk to and meant that we didn't have to drive anywhere all weekend. The food was great. Brundall has a couple of Co-op stores which we used along with other amenities. It was a wonderful weekend and the perfect backdrop for our family celebrations- thank you!Christine Hiskey2024-06-30What a wonderful place Ferry Lodge is, a great position on the river Yare with a lovely view of the country pub, on the other side of the river (you'll need your own transport to get across the river or around a 1 hr journey by car), passing boats and great evening sunsets. This place truly was home from home. Fishing was great, lots of tiddlers but some failed opportunities of pike and large bream straight from the decking! Good range of garden furniture including sun loungers which were lovely for soaking up the atmosphere. A broad is very close by and easily reached by water, so do bring your SUP/canoe/kayak. Tina was extremely responsive throughout our booking and our stay. A great stay and thoroughly enjoyed it.Mihai Cutuhan2023-12-30Lovely place and great houses with everything you want clean like new everything 👏👍👌🏅💯Daniel S2023-10-26Great condition, beautiful location.
