Cows may be grazing in nearby fields, so we recommend keeping dogs on a leash.

maxine woods2024-07-04 Last weekend we stayed in River Breeze lodge to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we relaxed and got into 'holiday mode'. The lodge was extremely clean and we received a warm welcome from Tina. We enjoyed being alongside the water and seeing the ducks and the heron who were regular visitors. From the lodge, you can also see the boats heading out to the river from the marina which we enjoyed. The lodge was very well-appointed with everything you could want. I had taken tea towels, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid but didn't need to as it was all provided. We were a party of 6 adults and found that we had plenty of space to relax. The veranda area and garden were also great to use with plenty of seating. We visited the pub near the railway station on a few occasions over the weekend for both drinks and food. It was perfect to walk to and meant that we didn't have to drive anywhere all weekend. The food was great. Brundall has a couple of Co-op stores which we used along with other amenities. It was a wonderful weekend and the perfect backdrop for our family celebrations- thank you! Christine Hiskey2024-06-30 What a wonderful place Ferry Lodge is, a great position on the river Yare with a lovely view of the country pub, on the other side of the river (you'll need your own transport to get across the river or around a 1 hr journey by car), passing boats and great evening sunsets. This place truly was home from home. Fishing was great, lots of tiddlers but some failed opportunities of pike and large bream straight from the decking! Good range of garden furniture including sun loungers which were lovely for soaking up the atmosphere. A broad is very close by and easily reached by water, so do bring your SUP/canoe/kayak. Tina was extremely responsive throughout our booking and our stay. A great stay and thoroughly enjoyed it.
